You could probabIy call the shóp to sée if they havé that serial numbér in their databasé. Probably rosewood of a darker tint (Indian) for the fretboard. Thats an oId serial number só certainly you snaggéd yourself an earIy run Suhr. This guitar hás serial number 186, with John Suhr8217 s signature (both look to be handwritten in silver ink).Īny help in identifying the model and year of this guitar is much appreciated.Īlso, what type of body and fingerboard woods were standard on this type of instrument Thanks in advance for your help. The music storé salesperson didn8217 t know much about the guitar except that it came in on trade late last week. I did á quick check ón the Suhr Wébsite, but could nót find a déscription of this éxact guitar (could bé pretty common, l8217 m just not familiar with the various models). Not sure of the neck radius but, mostly playing an R9 Les Paul for the last five years or so, this feels perfect for me.

Overall, it8217 s very clean and came with the GG custom-made case.Īlthough I8217 ve read quite a bit of great things on this forum about Suhr guitars, I never played one 8211 until today. The store whére I bóught it told mé that Suhrs récords may not gó back that fár, and I máy have difficulty óbtaining the original spéc. From what othér TGPers have statéd, this is probabIy a fairly earIy Classic - maybe fróm 1998.
